Hassan Allam Holding, also known as Nasr company for contracting is a well-known prominent enterprise for construction and development. It is listed as the biggest contracting holding in the Middle East. Hassan Allam has a long history with contracting, as old as the 90’s when it constructed several national projects. The company also participates in monumental restoration as it implements modern high-quality technology. Who is Hassan Allam the founder of Hassan Allam Holding?

Hassan Allam was born and raised in Port Said.
Upon his father’s decision, the family moved to Al Minya Governate where he opened a store that sells building tools.
It also sold concrete and porcelain that he imported from Britain. Hassan Allam grew to work with his father in the store.
In 1923, 17-year-old Hassan moved to Cairo where he founded a small unofficial company.
He founded it alongside his friends, and though he never had a proper architectural education, he was very good at it.
From there was the start of his prominent holding in 1938.

The Establishment of Hassan Allam Holding

Hassan Allam Holding was established by the respectable engineer Hassan Allam in 1938.
As soon as the company started, it earned a reputable position in the real estate market.
Hassan Allam holding also made it in coastal communities and became Hassan Allam Holding for contracting all over the country.
Soon after, the company spread tp hold several countries in the Middle East. As it developed projects in Iraq, United Emirates, Libya, Kuwait, Sudan, and many others.
The projects were not only limited to residential and coastal projects but also facilities, bridges, roads and infrastructures.
The employees of Hassan Allam Holding are as many as 34,000 employee in the whole of Middle East and Africa.

History of Hassan Allam for Construction

As mentioned above, Hassam Allam Holding was founded in 1938. The company was nationalized in 1938 and became a public sector.
That was according to President Gamal Abdelnasser’s policy and it was renamed as Nasr Company for Contracting, and Hassan Allam was its manager.
In 1972, Hassan Allam re-owned the company and re-established it in its original form.
In 1975, he founded Hassan Allam Sons for Construction in accordance to the openness policy that was made in the heir of the former president Muhammed Anwar Al-Sadat.
The company then started building several main roads, mainly Alex Rd, Ismailya Rd, Al-Arish Rd, Suez Rd and high roads to Marsa Allam and Marsa Matrouh.
In addition to national projects in Port Said, Aswab, and Nubian villages. There projects had a new modern touch.
In 2000, Hassan Allam Holding earned its name in real estate and contracting.
Two years after that, the company established its first coastal project in Ain Sokhna which was very successful as soon as it launched.
In 2005, Hassan Allam Holding launched its very first residential project in New Kattameya, which blew people’s minds from how unique and luxurious it was.
The following years and to this day, the company has been rising and establishing several residential and coastal projects with the aesthetic Arabic design.
It’s worth mentioning that it built sewage networks in some countries in the Middle East. Most importantly, Mecca in KSA.

The engineering and construction sector:

This sector counts as the biggest and most important sector as it prepares all of the construction work and tools that will be used to build.

Technical Sector:

This is a new sector that was added to be in line with the current technology. It offers all of the modern technical services.

Awards given to Hassan Allam Holding

It won the ISO award #14001 in 2004.
It landed another ISO award #18001 in 2007.
And yet another ISO award #9001 in 2008.
Hassan Allam Holding also earned a Medal of Merit owing to its successful projects in construction and establishment. The medal was given especially for the establishment of Marghani bridge in Heliopolis. It was constructed and finished in only 90 days and helped traffic decrease tremendously. This project made the company earn a First Class Medal of Merit.
