Who is the owner of Oud Development?
· Oud development was founded by the Egyptian businessman Mohamed Farid Khamis.
· In 1940, Mohammed Farid was born in Kafr Al-Sheikh. He got his bachelor in commerce, and a Master’s degree in Rug making from Loughborough University in the United States of America.
· Thanks to Mohammed’s creative thinking, he was able to establish a successful business, considered one of the best in Egypt, Al Nasagoon Al Sharkeon.
· He also established Al sharkeon Group, the group branched into many trades, such as manufacturing carpets, spinning and many other companies in the tourism, manufacturing and agriculture fields.
· Mohamed Farid Khamis held many respected positions in his life, including Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the British University in Egypt.
· Mohamed Farid Khamis founded El Shorouk Academy, and was the chairman of the Egyptian Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce.
· He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Federation of Investors Associations and Institutions, and was the chairman of the Industry, Energy and Transport Committee in the former Shura Council.
· He was the Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, and Chairman of the Arab Council for Green Economy.
· He was selected to be the Director of the Supreme Investment Council headed by the President of Egypt.
· Muhammad Farid held several other positions in the private sector, including the presidency of the Muhammad Farid Khamis Foundation for Community Development, the chairmanship of the Board of Directors of Al Nasagoon Al sharkeon and the Al sharkeon Company for Urban Development.
The rise of Oud developments
Al sharkeon was established in 1994. It was considered an Egyptian joint stock company under the mother company with 26 other companies from various fields.
Thanks to their continuous efforts, they were able to penetrate the Egyptian market, building a great reputation, setting the bar high for every other company in the market.
This huge structure contains two of the biggest companies, Red and Oud.
Their investments reached 3.1 billion dollars on various projects in many sectors such as tourism, agriculture and real-estate.
